Noorani Qaida for Beginners

What Will You Learn?

  • By the end of this course, learners will be able to Recognize and correctly pronounce all Arabic letters.
  • Read Arabic words fluently with short vowels (Harakaat), Sukoon, Shaddah, and Madd.
  • Understand basic Tajweed rules including:
  • Noon Saakin and Tanween (Izhar, Ikhfa, Idgham, Iqlab)
  • Meem Saakin rules
  • Identify and read Quranic words with proper articulation (Makharij).
  • Build confidence to transition from Noorani Qaida to Quran reading with Tajweed.

Course Content

Level 1: Arabic Alphabet Recognition
Objective: Recognize and pronounce individual Arabic letters.

  • Lesson 1: Introduction to Arabic script (Right to left orientation)
  • Lesson 2–5: Letters from Alif (ا) to Yaa (ي)

Level 2: Harakaat (Short Vowels)
Objective: Learn vowel sounds and pronunciation.

Level 3: Tanween and Sukoon
Objective: Understand nasal sounds and silent letters.

Level 4: Madd (Prolongation) and Leen Letters
Objective: Identify and apply rules of elongation and soft letters.

Level 5: Shaddah (Stress/Emphasis)
Objective: Read doubled consonants correctly.

Level 6: Rules of Noon Saakin & Meem Saakin (Intro to Tajweed)
Objective: Learn basic Tajweed rules for better recitation.

Level 7: Revision and Fluency Practice
Objective: Build reading fluency and confidence.
